PC Helps IT Survey Gives Clues to Windows 8 Migration Strategies

PC Helps conducted a survey in September among 500 corporate IT users to better understand opinions of, and strategies towards deployment of Windows 8 in organizations.

The survey shows that Windows 7 migration is generally underway in most US-based organizations. However, there is surprisingly good awareness and momentum building for the move to Windows 8.

For IT decision makers, the correct decisions for the near term depend on a host of factors. If a Windows 7 migration is already underway or recently completed for desktops, then stay the course, other than for mobile devices.

For organizations still running XP or Vista, Windows 8 is worthy of consideration, given its upgrade price and business-friendly features.

Enjoy the survey results and let me know which direction your organization is taking.
