Love your Surface RT? How would you like to customize it and further personalize your treasured device by applying a custom skin on both the front and the back? You just may be in luck.
Microsoft has reportedly rolled out a customization program for the Surface RT allowing owners to change the look of the device.
As the company’s first ever tablet, the Surface RT has won (nearly) universal acclaim when it comes to design and build quality. But some users may want more than the default matte magnesium casing that houses the tablet.
According to WinBeta, some Microsoft Stores are now offering custom skins for Surface tablets. Custom skins for Xbox 360s were already available in most Microsoft Stores (where people could choose or even make their own designs), and now they are expanding it to Surface tablets.
Made from vinyl, these custom skins can be attached to devices up to 5 times, and the best part is that they do not damage or leave marks on the magnesium casing. These custom skins carry a cost of just $15 and are applied in a matter of minutes by Microsoft’s staff.
Apparently not all locations are providing this service as of right now, so it is probably best to call your nearest Microsoft Store first and confirm availability.
