Leaked Huawei Document Points At New Windows Phone 8 Smartphones

That Chinese telecom giant Huawei plans big things for the Windows Phone platform is known to all. The company has made clear its intentions of popularizing the platform across multiple emerging markets, along with countries like China and Russia.

Now we may have more proof of the company’s future plans for Microsoft’s mobile OS.

According to Allaboutphones.nl, a leaked document has recently emerged showing that the phone maker is gearing up to launch a bunch of new devices powered by Windows Phone in the coming months.

The company has apparently categorized its future devices in four different classes — Youth, Gold, Platinum and Diamond — each with its own set of features and price tags.

Huawei Ascend W1 smartphone finds a place in the Gold category, which is said to offer a great balance between price and functionality. This particular smartphone was assigned the task of bringing Windows Phone 8 to masses, quite like Nokia’s Lumia 620 model.

With that said, the other two categories (Platinum and Diamond) could soon be seeing new high-end models later this year. WMPowerUser seems to be thinking along the same lines, adding that the company is planning two new Windows Phone 8 devices in the aforementioned series.

The Platinum line is focused on fashion and design, while models in the highest-end Diamond line are said to be innovative and pioneering devices.
