Key UK Employee Leaves Microsoft

The mini exodus at Microsoft continues. Microsoft may be one of the best companies in the world to work for, but the technology titan is regularly losing some of its most important employees.

This time the one saying goodbye is Christine Mullin — Microsoft UK’s chief operating officer of that handles the company’s online and advertising division. She has just officially announced that she would leave the software giant.

The news of her stepping down was reported by MediaWeek. However, the reason behind her decision is not yet disclosed. Prior to joining the software giant she also worked in a senior role at AOL.

Mullin was a recent addition to the Microsoft family, having joined the company in 2009, serving as a chief operating officer for a year and a half.

As the chief operating officer she was responsible for product marketing and business development. Mullin reported directly to Andy Hart, the general manager of Microsoft’s advertising and online division.

When she will quit her job is yet to be revealed. But Simon Davies, currently the sales director of the UK branch of Microsoft, is set to take over her responsibilities immediately after she leaves the company. Davies is also a fresh Microsoftie, having joined the software company in 2011.
