Leaked Screenshot Shows Windows 8.1 Milestone Preview

We have had our fair share (some would say more than fair share) of Windows 8.1 screenshots that have continuously trickled their way to the web ever since news first came out that the new version of Windows was in development.

And now another alleged screenshot that made its way to the Internet a few hours back shows what appears to be the Milestone Preview of Windows 8.1.

This is quite likely the public beta version of Microsoft’s upcoming operating system.

No other details have been provided, except for the version number which indicates that Windows 8.1 Milestone Preview is labeled as build 9428. No download links are available for the time being, in case you wanted to take this version for a spin.

But with the public preview version of the OS incoming next week, it is only a matter of days.

Additionally, this development build of the operating system also includes the Start button, in case you were wondering.

Of course, there is no way to confirm or guarantee whether this screenshot is real or manipulated. The only sure thing is that the launch of the public preview version of Windows 8.1 is only a week away. And a whole bunch of new details will be heading our way come June 26.
