New Metro Apps Go Live Ahead Of Windows Blue Preview

We are nearing the launch of the public preview version of Window Blue (Windows 8.1), and Microsoft is reportedly publishing new apps in the Windows Store ahead of the anticipated launch.

Some unofficial reports are suggesting that two new apps — Bing Health & Fitness and Bing Food & Drinks — are now available for download to select users. They should gradually appear on all local versions of the Windows Store.

Both apps are not yet available in most local versions of the apps repository, but considering the fact that Redmond promised to include several new Bing tools in Windows 8.1, expect these new apps to become available for users worldwide, soon after the launch of the preview version of the new OS.

The preview version of Windows 8.1, will obviously, be released via the Windows Store as a free update, and along with inviting users to take the new operating system on a test drive, Redmond would be keen to promote these new apps to complete the experience.

The new OS itself will bring a bunch of new built-in Metro apps.

A wide array of these apps have already been detailed by technology enthusiasts over these past few months, and fingers crossed Microsoft offers a complete rundown of them at the BUILD conference later in the day.

As for these new Metro apps, let others know when you see them in the Windows Store.
