Nokia Lumia 930 And Lumia 630 Announcements Set For BUILD 2014

Prepare for a dash of James Bond. Microsoft, it is being said, is ready to unveil the Nokia Lumia 930 and the Lumia 630, known as Martini and Moneypenny respectively, in just a couple of weeks.

This means the two smartphones are set to be revealed ahead of schedule.

With less than two weeks remaining until the official announcement of Windows Phone 8.1, interest is high on the various smartphones that will hit store shelves in the summer. The usual suspect like Nokia, HTC, Samsung, Huawei, along with other vendors all have such handsets under development.

And according to this report, Microsoft plans to unveil at least two new smartphones at its anticipated BUILD 2014 event in San Francisco on April 2.

Previously, Nokia was said to be eyeing an April 19 press event to launch its fresh new lineup of Windows Phone devices, but if we go by this new development, that is quite unlikely to happen now.

Codenames Martini and Moneypenny have been doing the rounds for months on.

And while the Lumia 930 will take care of the high-end segment of the market, the Lumia 630 should be enough to cover the midrange. Redmond is set to introduce two versions of the latter device, however, one a single SIM and the other with dual SIM capabilities.

Both variants of the Nokia Lumia 630 are expected to pack on-screen buttons.
