Star Wars: Assault Team Lands On The Windows Phone Store

Disney has brought along another one of its hit mobile title to the owners of Windows Phone devices out there. Star Wars: Assault Team was made available for Android very recently, and is now up for grabs on the Windows Phone Store.

This is a free turn-based combat game from Disney Interactive that features the classic card-battle gameplay. Players can assemble their own team of heroes to battle enemies across the universe.

Or galaxy, for that matter. As Disney describes it:

“Take your assault team into battle, and defeat galactic enemies and other players! Strategically choose your squad, then deploy your team members’ special tactics. Crush your opponents to earn valuable rewards and new characters.”

All the usual suspects are in — characters like Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Boba Fett and more, though not everyone is available at the time of this writing. But future updates should remedy this. Each character has unique states, abilities and specific attacks that increase the overall strength of the team.

A variety of items are there for the collecting that can be used to train these characters, improving their attacks at the same time. And this is crucial when they duke it out with increasingly powerful enemies.

Players can also challenge others in PvP battles to win extra loot.

As of right now version 1.0.0.101 of Star Wars: Assault Team is available for download on the Windows Phone Store, for free, obviously, here at this link. Compatible with Windows Phone 8 and Windows Phone 8.1, though some lower end smartphones might have trouble downloading.

NOTE - If you would like to find out more about the next version of Microsoft Windows - Windows 9, here are some links you should probably check out.

I need to check this out. I’m an enormous Star Wars fan and have high expectations for this. If the visuals are as good as this picture, I’m sure I’ll love it.

I’m not a big Star Wars fan, but Disney has made some good apps in the past. In addition, it’s free and seems to have a lot of options. I may try this out regardless of the Star Wars factors Thanks for posting! :)
