More Windows Phone 8.1 Handsets Incoming, Lumia 530 Spotted

It is only a matter of time before the market becomes flooded with Windows Phone 8.1 smartphones of all shapes and sizes, all forms and factors, at pretty much every price range.

Nokia (or rather Microsoft) announced the first three new smartphones that come preloaded with the newest version of the mobile OS in early April. Since then, several other makers have teased their upcoming solutions. A couple of new ones even signed up just recently.

But the Lumia range still remains squarely in the spotlight, and there is every chance that the family will be complete before the end of the year. In fact, another member of the family has just been spotted.

As this report notes, this new device has been leaked over at GFXBench.

Nokia RM-1027 is said to be the successor of the Lumia 520 — the most popular Windows Phone handset on the market. And once again, it comes with rather humble hardware specifications.

It is listed as supporting just 480 by 800 pixels resolution.

An Adreno 305 graphics processing unit has also been very much confirmed. This is a chip that is usually paired alongside dual-core processors. And in terms of performance, the Lumia 530 managed to deliver just about enough oomph to keep things moving forward. Just enough.

More on this anticipated device as we hear it.
