Nokia, or rather Microsoft Mobile, is gearing up to roll out the Windows Phone 8.1 update to compatible devices in the summer, and now a leaked image claims to provide a roadmap of this schedule.
It is for the Benelux region, though. You know, the union of states of three countries, Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxembourg. Hence, the name. But keeping in mind the fact that Nokia usually rolls out the updates in all countries in a timely fashion, we can expect a similar roadmap for all markets.
Here is the leaked image, by the way, courtesy @evleaks.
And it shows that the company is ready to push its Cyan update to Lumia devices around the July to August mark. The timeline covers almost all devices the company has shipped.
For those of you unfamiliar with the Cyan update, it is Nokia’s Windows Phone 8.1 update with some exclusive features. Previous rumors hinted that it might go by the name of Nokia Blue.
In any case, this is a rather large update, and highly anticipated by the user base.
Along with everything included in Windows Phone 8.1, Nokia is also expected release enhancements to the camera roll, Creative Studio and Nokia Storyteller.
As the image above shows, this roadmap is not for public eyes, but it is out, nevertheless. What matters is that you file this under rumors, until we hear something official from either Microsoft or Nokia.
