Microsoft Announces New Office 365 Plans For Businesses

Office 365 is getting popular by the minute, and all types and sizes of organizations are subscribing to the cloud based productivity suite. At the same time, Microsoft continues to refine the service.

The company has decided to launch three new plans in order to better address consumer needs, and this new pricing will please small and medium sized businesses the most.

All three plans vary in terms of Office applications and price.

Office 365 Business, for instance, now includes the full suite of Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and more), along with 1TB of OneDrive for Business for document sharing, and can be used on Windows PCs, Macs, iPads and other Windows tablets.

On the other hand, the Office 365 Business Essentials offers core cloud services for businesses, while Office 365 Business Premium includes all of the above, making it the best choice for small and medium sized businesses.

Microsoft notes that these have been specifically developed based on feedback it received from SMB customers, and these new plans will go live on October 1, 2014.

Although they will replace the existing ones over time, the pricing structure for the current plans remains unchanged for the foreseeable future. However, existing subscribers will have to choose one of these three new plans by October 1, 2015.

Redmond has also promised more details on this during the upcoming WPC 2014 event in Washington.
