Lenovo Miix 3 Tablet Reportedly Set For An IFA 2014 Unveil

Fans of Lenovo tablets were in for a bit of a shock recently, when the company decided not to restock its Miix 2 8-inch slate after it recently sold out in the United States.

There were even some hints that the company felt that American users were not interested in this small form factor for Windows tablets, but those were disproven swift enough. In fact, the company soon decided to equip the popular slate with a full HD resolution display.

But now we know the real reason why the Miix 2 has been discontinued.

The Lenovo Miix 3 tablet is once again said to be in the final stages of development, and the successor has even been spotted in a database, making for a clear enough sign that the device will make its debut at the IFA 2014 event in Berlin next month.

In fact, the company has already sent invites for a press conference set for September 4, and chances are that we will see the Miix 3 making its first appearance on this date.

Along with a host of other tablets, including Android powered ones.

The reports of Lenovo working on the Miix 3 are not new. If anything, we have been hearing about this anticipated tablet since early March. And along with an uplifting design, the new device could feature significant hardware improvements under the hood.

Improvements like a full HD display to probably go with an Intel Moorefield or Merrifield chip.

We should find out in just a few weeks from now.
