It’s a company eat company world out there. Despite the emphasis on Windows 8 by Microsoft, HP is still directing its consumers towards Windows 7 PCs in new promotions.
Then again, HP has a history of doing this, ever since 2012, when the modern Windows launched. So in this respect, nothing new here. And to think that these are new laptops, powered by the latest Intel processors and are now being listed with discounts up to $170.
As this report notes, the company started sending out emails to newsletter subscribers about a brand new Windows 7 PC sale, just in time for the frenzied Back-to-School season in the United States.
Not many would have expected such a close Microsoft partner to still be selling and promoting these Windows 7 PCs two years after the debut of the modern flavor of the operating system.
But here we are. Obviously, there also is a demand for such devices — one can never discount that.
If you are interested in checking out the menu, what is on sale, you can do so here. Several other hardware partners are still selling Windows 7 PCs, including Dell, so those that are in the market for computers powered by the world’s most popular operating system have a lot of choice.
At least for the foreseeable future.
