VLC For Windows Phone Demoed In New Video

VLC For Windows Phone

One of the lead developers on VLC for Windows Phone, Thomas Nigro, just posted a 4 minute video showing the anticipated multimedia application in action.

And it is just what you’d expect — bugs and all.

The interface is a neat and refined, and the feature set substantial. Overall, it has the polish that you would associate with an application that this this popular. And if they keep it up this way, this is sure to become a fan favorite for users that are on Microsoft’s mobile operating platform.

Take a look at the clip below:

Oh, and the above video is appropriately titled ‘VLC for Windows Phone Sneak Peak’.

It is very much just a sneak peak at the app, with no download links available to take it for a test drive. VideoLAN did sign up a few users for the closed beta for the application, with promise that it would soon be sent out for download to those that registered for the program.

Which in due time would be expanded to an open beta of sorts, ahead of release.

In any case, it appears that they are still struggling with a range of bugs and performance issues, and true launch of the app is, for better or for worse, a while away.
