Sprint Stops Selling Windows Phone On Its Website

The Windows Phone journey has seen its ups and downs, but there have been a few inexplicable events too. Events like Sprint dropping Windows Phone handsets on its website.

So far, the company has not commented on this decision.

But the third largest wireless carrier not only does not show any Windows Phone smartphones on its online store, but the selection of mobile operating systems over there only shows iOS, Android and BlackBerry models.

Yes, you read that right, BlackBerry.

Having said that it still is possible to acquire Windows Phone handsets from the carrier via other retail outlets. The Microsoft Store website, for example, still offers the Sprint models of the Samsung ATIV S Neo and HTC 8XT.

Sprint has never been among the biggest supporters of the Windows Phone platform.

Surely not as big as AT&T and T-Mobile.

Taking this into account, such a decision is not totally unexpected. Maybe it can work something out after discussing things with Microsoft, but with things finally starting to align for Windows Phone, the platform surely cannot afford such trickeries.

We’ll just have to wait and see if we hear anything official from the two parties.
