Microsoft Starts Shipping Lumia Denim Update

At least, for some users. If you have been looking forward to the Lumia Denim update, then make way for some good news. It appears that Microsoft has begun shipping the refresh to users in China.

The long awaited rollout has been confirmed on the company’s own website.

And contrary to popular belief, flagship owners are not exactly getting the new firmware, at least not in this part of the globe. Lumia 930 and Lumia 1520 have been put on the waiting list, while the Lumia 520, 525, 526, 625, 720, 720T and 1320 are the smartphone models that are seeing this action.

The big idea?

Microsoft, it appears, is trying to rollout the new firmware to some of the most popular handsets in this region, and only then will make the new version available for everyone else.

Smart decision, some may say.

But those that purchased flagship handsets will feel a little grassed, that’s for sure!

They have spent hundreds of dollars, and are now asked to wait for this new version to rollout on their phones. Not to mention, Lumia Denim comes with a lot of improvements, many of which are exclusive to these flagship devices, and their impressive cameras.

Nevertheless, it seems that the waiting days are over, and everyone will be invited to the party soon.
