In case you were not aware, a certain Finnish telecom company puts up an event year that it uses to showcase its most powerful devices towards the end of the year.
Nokia World is the place to be if you want to check out the newest Nokia flagships.
The company teased this in an image a few days back, and now the company has confirmed the 2013 Nokia World event — October 22 is the date, and Abu Dhabi, UAE is the location for this year’s event.
Nokia has just put up a new ad to highlight the anticipated event.
Even though Microsoft has purchased the devices and services unit of Nokia recently, pending final approval, it is good to see that the company continuing the tradition. This is one Nokia event that usually sets the direction for the next year.
This year, the attendees are invited to Abu Dhabi for this one day press event.
And while the company has not offered any further details or teases for what is in store for this day, there is speculation that Nokia will be unveiling two landmark new devices — its first ever phablet and its first ever tablet, powered by Windows Phone 8 and Windows RT 8.1 respectively.
The large screen handset is reportedly the Lumia 1520, while Lumia 2520 is the name of the tablet that the world will have a look at for the first time at this event.
