Acer unveiled their first Windows 8 laptops at the Computex conference in Taipei.

Some stats:

  • 11.6 and 13.3 inch screens
  • 12mm thick (11.6 inch model)
  • Touchscreen
  • Price between $999 to 1799

    So, it looks like they are coming hard into a real integration of keyboard, pad/mouse and touch… which in many ways throw the expectation of not being able to use the OS in a NON touch screen environment (which BTW, in my opinion it still works really well… but hey, I am not a “power user” right? what can I know?
