A new report from AdDuplex (via Supersite for Windows) shows that of all Windows 8 devices out there, Windows Surface RT has the largest share of sales, at 6%. This has fallen from a month ago when the Surface Pro reportedly commanded 11% of the market, but it still has the largest share.

The Surface RT and forthcoming x86 Surface Pro are intended by Microsoft as a reference model for OEMs, but sales of all Windows 8 devices so far, appear to be less than stellar.

Most of the other Windows 8 devices are strictly speaking, not tablets, but instead ‘convertibles’, which are notebooks with a touch screen.

The next two devices in terms of market share all come from HP – the HP 2000 (3% of the market), HP Pavilion g6 (2%). HP in fact, have the most models with over 1% market share – six in total.

The full list of devices with 1% market share is: HP Pavilion g7, Samsung Series 3, HP Pavilion dv6, HP ENVY m6, ASUS VivoTab RT, ASUS VivoBook X202E, Dell Inspiron 5520, Dell Inspiron 3520, HP Compaq CQ58, Toshiba Satellite C855D, Samsung ATIV Smart PC, and Acer Aspire V5-571P.

Another interesting point from the report is that AdDuplex counts over 5,500 devices in the growing marketplace, which must be good news to Redmond. The full AdDuplex report will be available tomorrow.
