While Microsoft seemingly has increased its focus on international markets when it comes to its retail outlets, the technology titan continues its aggressive policy of opening new Microsoft Stores across various locations in the United States.
The company has confirmed that its next storefront will open its door for customers on September 19 at the Burlington Mall in Burlington, Massachusetts.
It is not always that Microsoft announces new store openings on its website, but the company made an announcement this time around. Although short on detail, the announcement promises a grand opening, meaning this new store will be a full sized retail location, not a smaller specialty store.
This makes it the third full size store Microsoft will open in Massachusetts — the other two locations are Boston and Natick.
At the same time, the technology titan is also regularly opening newer, smaller specialty stores. One of which will open on Friday in Wauwatosa, WI, which will be followed by another one on August 8 in McAllen, Texas.
The Massachusetts store, however, is an important opening for Microsoft, and if you live near the area, you can be sure that it will be quite an event. The company usually brings in a major pop music act for a little bit of music.
The concerts are free to attend, but people have to line up at the Microsoft Store to get their free tickets beforehand. Expect something similar in Burlington, Massachusetts in just a couple of months.
