Origami! What is there to say about this creative and satisfying art form that has not been said? Still while Origami may be one of the best things one can get into, getting in is not all that easy.

And this holds particularly true for advanced creations that require substantial investments of time and effort. Luckily, there are apps like Just Origami that jump in and make the learning process both easy and fun. This is a simple application with complete and detailed step-by-step instructions and diagrams.

Here is the one liner of an official description:

“Just Origami teaches you how to fold your favourite Origami with simple step by step instructions with diagrams to aid you.”

In terms of use interface, the developers have done a splendid job. It is undeniably Metro, no two words about that — but without the blend of bland that plagues so many other Windows 8 apps. The Start Screen lists the various creations, and clicking (or tapping) on one takes you to the instructions.

Since this is an app aimed squarely at kids and creative young children, the designs on offer are fairly basic. But at the same time, this makes them easy for Origami novices to pick up and learn.

All three processors (x86, x64 and ARM) are supported by this free app, and it is a quick and easy download at just 4.2 MB of file size. But if you are looking to get started with Origami, these may undeniably be the best 4.2 MB you download.
