Apple did it again with another amazing financial quarter on Tuesday, with a record quarterly net profit of $7.31 billion on record quarterly revenue of $28.57 billion.

Apple sold a whopping 20 million iPhones this quarter.

“We’re thrilled to deliver our best quarter ever, with revenue up 82 percent and profits up 125 percent,” a prepared statement credited to Apple CEO Steve Jobs reads. “Right now, we’re very focused and excited about bringing iOS 5 and iCloud to our users this fall.”

iPad sales were strong, at 9.25 million units.

Once again, Apple claimed it sold every frikkin Ipad they could make.

Apple also made a pretty incendiary claim. They claimed that the iPad was cannibalizing Windows PC’s. The company didn’t back up that claim with any numbers.

Apple COO Tim Cook said that Apple’s expansion into China last year has helped drive revenue gains, noting that the country was “key” to the company’s success.

Apple’s revenues from China ($6.33 billion) are starting to get close to US sales numbers ($10 billion).

Will this company ever slow down?
