Asus Taichi continues to experience delays.
Were you hoping to get your hands the Asus Taichi soon, we have some bad news. PC World is now reporting that shipments for the Taichi have been delayed, with no real world on when they will actually ship.
That said, it is believed the delays should hopefully be over in December sometime, but there seems to be no guarantee that the Taichi will ship at all this year and might instead be pushed back into January.
This is disappointing news. Sure, there are a lot of other great Windows 8 devices out there, but the Taichi ultrabook was sexy and very unique with its second touchscreen on the back of the lid. This approach was different (and expensive) but also made the device a great tablet device as well.
Need a reminder of the Taichi’s specs? The Taichi will come in multiple configurations starting with an entry model that has a Core i5 processor, 4GB of RAM and an 128GB SSD. There are also Core i7 variants for those that need a bit more power. Some of the other specs include Intel HD 4000 graphics, two USB 3.0 ports, a 5MP rear cam, 720p front cam, Bluetooth 4.0 and Intel’s wireless display technology. The Asus Taichi will also include 11 and 13-inch models.
Were you planning on getting your hands on the Asus Taichi? With more dealys heading its way will you go for another laptop hybrid/convertible instead?
