Bill Gates recently responded with a lot of class to comments from the late Steve Jobs who had criticized the Microsoft co-founder, saying Gates was unimaginative and had never invented anything.

In an interview with Christianne Amanpour on ABC News, Gates said of Jobs: “Over the course of the 30 years we worked together, you know, he said a lot of very nice things about me and he said a lot of tough things. … I respect Steve. We got to work together. We spurred each other on, even as competitors. None of that bothers me at all.”

Gates also speculated that Steve’s frustration at Microsoft’s success might have been the source of some of the comments.

The interview with Amanpour was primarily focused on Mr. Gate’s philanthropic endeavors and the Steve Jobs comments were just a side note.
