One thing Microsoft has focused on with Windows 8.1 is delivering new and powerful Metro apps to help users accomplish common tasks that they perform on a PC or tablet.

Movie Moments is one such app that is bundled with the latest version of Windows.

And now a new video has floated up that shows most of the features of this new app with along with the final output video. You can take a look at the clip below, which is of a fair length by the way:

As can be seen in the video, Movie Moments allows users the ability to edit videos up to 60 seconds in length, with basic tools that can trim clips from the beginning, middle or end. Users can also add music and captions, and then save and share their creations.

The app description very appropriately states:

“Turn any video into a memorable moment you’ll love to share. With this app, you can trim your video to your favorite parts, highlight key moments with captions and effects, and set the mood with music.”

Movie Moments is exclusively available on Windows 8.1, with no option to install it on Windows 8 devices. But it is, nevertheless, one of the more engaging new apps that Microsoft has developed for the latest version of it OS, and is well worth a try for those of you that have installed Windows 8.1 Preview.
