Welcome back! Speaking of Microsoft here, obviously, who have put up the official Windows 10 20H1 ISO files up for download for those of you who want to move in with a fresh install.
This is the feature update to the OS on track to go live in the spring of 2020.
The Redmond based software titan currently has Windows 10 20H1 in preview stage, meaning this version is very early in its development cycle. Nevertheless, its official bits can be downloaded by Windows insiders who are part of the Fast ring of the program.
If you go to the download page, you will find that the new ISOs that are available are for Windows 10 build 18912 — a build that made an appearance in the Fast ring a few days back.
Like all good things, it comes in three different versions, that being Home, Enterprise, and Home China.
In fact, you may also notice that the company has changed the way ISOs are listed on the Insider download page. It now displays the images offered to both Fast and Slow ring users, giving visitors a choice to grab whichever ISO file they prefer.
The system images in the Slow ring is for build 18343, which is the most recent release for this channel, which makes sense when you consider that folks in the Slow ring are already running the RTM build of Windows 10 May 2019 Update.
And this is the reason why the ISO files offered here are for an older release.
While you can use these ISO images to do a clean install of Windows 10 and start from scratch, the big question remains what is happening with the 19H2 release.
Users are waiting for the testing builds of this next feature update that is due this fall. The fact that Windows 10 19H2 is yet to reach the Windows Insider testing stage ahead of its expected completion date due in September.
This is leading to rumors that this next update will be more of a service pack, which is why Microsoft is yet to start the public testing with Insiders.
Nevertheless, you can grab the 20H1 ISO files from the link below.
