Microsoft has released fresh ISO images, aimed specifically at Insiders that want to take Windows 10 April 2020 Update on a test run. Via a clean install, at that.
If you want to start from scratch, this is your best entry point for Windows 10 20H1.
As these ISO images replace the ISOs of the previous Windows 10 Insider Preview build that was made available four weeks ago, build 18932.
20H1 is, obviously, the codename of the feature update for the OS that is going to be released in the first half of next year. This update is project to be finalized in March, if we go by the typical Microsoft schedule for Windows 10.
A public rollout should begin in April or May of 2020.
There is going to be another, smaller update to come before that, though, in the form of 19H2, which is also currently being tested.
Anyway, these new images allow you install Windows 10 build 18950.
This preview build of the operating system made its appearance on the Fast Ring of the preview program on the last day of July, bring with it a couple new features, most notably refinement relating to the Japanese IME and Snip & Sketch.
All said and done, these ISOs are a good way to check out how things are progressing in the 20H1 development branch.
Install them on your test bed, or spin up a virtual machine and get things going.
These new ISO images can be downloaded from the link below. You get options for the standard Windows 10 Insider Preview, as well as the Enterprise and Home China editions. They are only available in x86 and AMD64 variants, though.
