It seem that high-end PC gaming company Origin PC is now making the move to Windows 8 in a pretty big way. Instead of just throwing Windows 8 on top of standard PC hardware, they are releasing a new touchscreen laptop alongside touchscreen monitors for its desktop and are even bringing Logitech’s touchpad over to its Chronos desktop.

Kevin Wasielewski, Origin PC’s CEO seems quite confident in Windows 8. He says that they are most interested in the new OS for its “insanely fast” boot up time. He also says the new start menu is highly intuitive and very interesting.

While Origin is jumping right into Windows 8, they aren’t abandoning Windows 7 as an option. For gamers that aren’t interested in the new UI and the speed enhancements that are coming to Windows 8, you can still get Windows 7 installed instead.

Honestly, people need to get over the whole “I miss you start menu thing”. Sure, I like the start menu. I’m not 100 percent sold on the new Windows 8 UI just yet, but I see the value in Windows 8. It is more than just a push into the tablet world. Yes, that’s a big focus here, but the desktop is truly better than ever in Windows 8.

Anyway, if you are interested in a high-end gaming rig that is fully embracing the Windows 8 experience, you might want to take a look at Origin PC.
