What could be better than a James Bond movie? What about combining Skyfall with Windows 8 excitement? That is exactly what MCPc, a company that helps businesses with PC setups and purchases, is doing.
The special event is geared towards business owners and IT professionals that would have a possible roll in the adoption of Windows 8 products. While November 9th is the official release date for Skyfall in the US, MCPc will show the movie off on the premiere date for free, as long as you sign up for their event.
The event will play the movie and then will end with showing of demonstrations of Windows 8, its features, and two Dell devices utilizing the technology, the Latitude 10 Tablet and Latitude 6430u Ultrabook.
Signing up is easy and apparently you even get a $10 Amazon gift card just for registering. There is also a possible chance you will win a Latitude 10 tablet. Keep in mind that the event is quite limited, MCPc will only be hosting in 10 theaters. It is also unclear how big of groups are going to be allowed in each of the theaters.
This is certainly an interesting way to get people looking at Windows 8. Not 100 percent sure what the correlation between Bond and Windows 8 is, though. I suppose that Bond uses high-tech gadgets and Windows 8 tablets are in fact something in a high-class of their own as well?
Any of our readers business owners or IT specialists in charge of roll-outs? If you are shaking your head “Yes” and you love Bond movies, you might want to check this out and see if the event is in a U.S. Theater near you.
