Today, Lenovo announced the IdeaPad U510.

For the price, you’ll get one of Intel’s new Ivy Bridge processors, 500GB of storage, a 1366 x 768 resolution display, GeForce 625M discrete graphics, three USB ports (one USB 3.0), 10/100 Ethernet and an integrated tray-loading DVD burner in a 4.85-pound package.

In terms of upgrades, you can get a Blu-ray drive, up to 8GB of RAM, and a 32GB solid state cache for quicker boot times and greater responsiveness.

The U510 will ship in September and starts at $679.

There sure is a lot of hardware coming out for Windows 8 – it’s going to be an interesting Fall of 2012.
