Microsoft have officially announced two midrange smartphones, the Lumia 730 and the Lumia 735 at this year’s IFA in Berlin, and these are positioned at as stylish selfie phones.
The dual SIM Lumia 730 and Lumia 735 provide a range of features at highly affordable price points.
A brand new original Selfie app also comes preloaded on these devices that sport the signature Lumia design, and both phones offer better specifications than most other smartphones in this price range. Throw in the recognizable bright green, bright orange, dark grey and white colors, and there you have it.
Here are the specifications of the Lumia 730 and 735:
- Processor: 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400
- RAM: 1GB
- Storage: 8GB, up to 128GB via microSD, 15GB free cloud storage
- Screen: 4.7” OLED
- Display: 1280 x 720 pixels, 316 ppi
- Cameras: 6.7 megapixel rear, 5 megapixel front
- Battery: 2220 mAh
- Dimensions: 134.7mm x 68.5mm x 8.7mm

Now, apart from these basic specs, both models vary in terms of a few other features. For example, wireless charging support is only available on LTE variants — the Lumia 735 has 4G/LTE connectivity, while the dual SIM Lumia 730 only offers the 3G option. A disappointing tradeoff.
Microsoft is also offering 3 months of free Skype worldwide calls when you buy these devices.
The Lumia 730 is priced at €199, while the Lumia 735 starts at €219 excluding taxes and subsidies, with availability slated for September in various parts of the globe.
