A website like this would have been a bit more welcome with the Surface Pro 3 first launched earlier this year, but a full six months down the road isn’t too bad when you consider what’s on offer.

The company’s newest slate was made official on May 20.

Back then, Panos Panay, head of the Surface division at Microsoft, made direct comparisons to the popular MacBook lineup from Apple — describing it as the perfect device to get for people that wanted to move away from their fruity hardware.

The purpose of this new website is very nearly the same, by and large.

As the company states on this brand new site:

“We want to make the transition as easy as possible. If you currently have a Mac and have questions about switching to Surface Pro 3 and Windows, we designed this site to help get you started.”

It’s all about feeling confident, and providing people with all the information they need to ensure them that they are making the right decision by switching. Noblest of intents.

This new website not only provides the necessary resources to help users get started with Windows, but also learn about the differences between the MacBook and the Surface Pro 3. Handy source of information, but it remains to be seen how many people do make the switch.

In any case, the site seems like it is here to stay, and should come in useful by the time we near the launch of a new slate in the Surface Pro lineup.

Surface Pro 4, you say?

You say right.
