Oh well, not many would have thought that the 128GB version of the Surface Pro would be such a sought after device. I say “such a” because the higher capacity version has been playing hard to get for more than a week now.
The smaller capacity variant of Microsoft’s flagship tablet is easily obtainable, however.
While Redmond has still stopped shy of providing any official sales numbers (too early for it, perhaps), the company did say that it is quite excited by the demand of Surface Pro. Microsoft made the announcement on the official Surface blog:
“We are excited by the demand for Surface Pro and continue to work around the clock to meet that demand with production and get new inventory into retail. We recommend you call your local store ahead of time prior to traveling.”
Eh, numbers would have been much better, but excited will have to do for now.
Disappointed consumers can however place an order for the 128GB version of Surface Pro in order to receive it in early next month. It had been a while coming, but Microsoft finally launched a preorder program for the 128GB version with order shipment by 1st of March.
Those of you looking to get your hands on a Surface Pro right away have little choice than to choose the 64GB model that is readily available at Microsoft Stores (and partner retail outlets) across the United States and Canada.
