If there is one thing Skype is not alien to, its celebrities. Microsoft regularly highlights how the popular VoIP platform is being used by famous people across the world.
And every once in a while, it provides opportunities for fans to chat with their favorite celebrities on Skype. The company has just announced a new program call ‘The Skype Collaboration Project’ that should be of great interest to fans, students and designers of the fashion industry.
Microsoft made the official announcement in a blog post confirming that it will be hosting instant messaging, video messaging and group video calls with some of the most prominent names in the industry like stylist Bay Garnett, brand consultant Arieta Mujay and famed textile designer Suki Cheema:
And from January onwards, Redmond will also use this new project to showcase Victoria Beckham’s business around the globe:
“Skype is providing a front row seat as the team builds towards the Victoria Beckham Fall/Winter 2014 Ready-To-Wear show at New York Fashion Week. Following February’s NYFW, you’ll have an opportunity collaborate with Victoria Beckham herself, as she holds an ‘In Conversation With’ panel for which you can submit questions, and take away inspiration to apply to your own journey.”
Complete details are available at the link above, including other famous celebrities that are part of the project — photographer Teddy Fitzhugh, fashion illustrator Damien Florebert-Cuypers, luxury brand Apolis, London photographer Jonnie Craig and more.
A perfect way to highlight and promote the world’s most popular VoIP platform.
