Microsoft release a new video showing it’s Kinect today.
The video, shows how Microsoft have not only used the Kinect for gaming but for other more significant uses like research, business health and science.
I have said often often on this site that we have only started scratching the surface of what the Kinect can do.
I have also said and fully expect a smaller version of the Kinect to be made available at some point next year for desktops. Yes, i am expecting a Kinect 2.

Businesses around the world and across industries, like healthcare, education, automotive, retail and more have been contacting Microsoft with ideas about how the Kinect can transform their industires.
Microsoft is working with over 200 applicants on the Kinect pilot program, including Toyota, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Razorfish and more than 25 Fortune 500 companies.
Keep an eye out for the Kinect in 2012. It’s going to be a game changer.
