Microsoft introduced the Surface Pro 3 yesterday, and it is now available for preorder. The company has also rolled out a new video showcasing the key capabilities of its distinguished new tablet.

In many ways, this newest addition to the Surface family is the best tablet you can buy.

Surely in terms of hardware, it is unmatched, and the same can be said of its versatility. The software issues (primarily apps) are the only real missing piece of the puzzle, but that is something that will be taken care of in due time.

This new video clip, however, highlights all the strong points:

Redmond bills this the tablet that can replace your laptop, and although this is not an ad per se (just some renderings that show how the device works) the video does a good job highlighting the power on display here in this slim package.

It also puts the focus on the digital inking capabilities, and the stylus.

And when it comes to apps, Microsoft have made it clear that some of the most powerful apps will soon be updated to work better on the Surface Pro 3, including Adobe CC suite.

All said and done, the Surface Pro 3 has the potential of becoming a really great tablet, provided Microsoft keeps on optimizing and enhancing its abilities.

What do you guys think?

but…Not a fan of screen glare in the hot desert sun out here in Palm Springs CA. This problem makes most touch devices useless from 9am to 6pm. Also damaged vision may occur should the user attempt to use the device in direct sunlight for an extended period of time. Of course, most laptops and tablets have this problem to some degree.
