Last week marked the unveiling of a future king. The Nokia Lumia 530 is the successor to the bestselling Lumia 520, which sold in huge numbers around the globe, and currently reigns as the most popular Windows Phone handset.
Needless to say, expectations are high for the new model, which itself has been made available in two models, with the single SIM variant priced at a remarkably amazing $115 — before taxes and subsidies.
And to show of the new devices, Microsoft have released two new videos that show off the capabilities of these budget smartphones. Both are short clips, but high impact, and very well made, apart from the wacky choice of music.
The first video is a standard affair, highlighting the various capabilities of the handset:
While the second clip compares the Lumia 530 to other low end devices that are currently available on the market. No prizes for guessing which one comes on top:
The length of the videos points to the fact that they may end up being shown on television screens the world over. Which is a good thing as the cost of entry is so low, the Lumia 530 has every chance to become move large numbers once it goes on sale.
This should, hopefully, help with the overall market share of Lumia devices, which has been rather still these past couple of quarters.
