Apparently, there is SUBSTANTIAL worldwide interest in the Microsoft Surface.

It seems that Microsoft has run out of the Windows RT tablet in both Germany and France.

According to both of the Microsoft Store sites for both Germany and France, there is a 2 to 3 week shipping backorder time for anyone who wants to buy a Surface, in fact it applies evenly across all three models.

Once all the dust clears, it will be interesting to see how many units of the Surface actually have shipped for Q4.
