Yes, this famous building that you can see in the image above. Microsoft will soon have a retail store just a few blocks away from the famous Apple store near Central Park.
This should make it the first ever Microsoft Store in New York. Finally.
According to this report, this new store is located in the heart of the city’s shopping district, on Fifth Avenue, and one can hope that it is a large, capacious building — matching up to the cubical design based on transparent glass that Apple has created.
While Redmond has been opening up new retail locations across the length and breadth of United States at a breakneck pace, the software titan has also focused on smaller stores to bring it software and hardware products closer to potential buyers.
The intensity definitely picked up since the debut of Windows 8 back in 2012, as Microsoft wants people to try out (and eventually, buy) its products.
Anyway, this is not the first such Microsoft retail adventure in New York City.
Time Square became the highlight of the Windows 8 launch, and the company set up 39 digital boards that displayed the Start Screen for people who were attending the launch or just passing by.
