Redmond has just made it official that its flagship tablet, the Surface Pro 3, is going on sale in 25 new markets later this month, including several key European locations.

This should make the premium slate available to more people across the globe.

Microsoft shared the good news on the official Surface blog, while at the same time confirming that consumers in these countries can preorder the tablet starting today. That is, if they want it shipped to their door on launch day:

“This month is going to be our best yet, though, as Surface Pro 3 will be available in 25 more markets beginning on August 28th. This means that in addition to Canada, the United States, and Japan, customers in the following countries can get Surface Pro 3 featuring 4th Generation Intel® Core™ i3, Core i5, and Core i7 models from, Surface retail partners, and Authorized Device Resellers beginning on that date.”

The new markets are Australia, Austria, Belgium, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Korea, Luxembourg, Malaysia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, and the United Kingdom.

Which about covers most of the key locations in the world.

Announced on May 20 at a New York evsurface_pro_3_internationalent, Microsoft pegs the Surface Pro 3 as the perfect laptop replacement, and positions it as a very powerful alternative to traditional notebooks.
