A few days back we had noticed some new icons in Windows 8 Pre-RTM version installed on the Surface tablet. These new icons have been somewhat confirmed.

Now Microsoft has decided to remove the yellow swirl/ribbon from the previous SkyDrive icon.

This swirl during the Wave 3 and Wave 4 era defined what constitutes as a Windows Live service.

However, since Windows Live is no more, Microsoft has decided to give these logos a slight Metro style makeover.

Along with Skydrive mail, People, Calendar app icon have also changed. They have also been given a more metroish look.

The new icons look more beautiful and immersive than ever before.

I loved them.
