Finnish mobile phone giant has just announced a new selection of updates for its Windows Phone 8 based handsets, the Lumia 920, 820 and 620 promising performance improvements and other enhancements.

The update will actually be released under two different versions, one for the Lumia 920 and 820, and another that targets the Lumia 620. Nokia detailed the news in a blog post on its developer site:

“This software, version 1232.5957.1308.00xx, includes further performance and stability improvements, enhancements to display stability during a call, and improved automatic display brightness adjustment”.

The 620, on the other hand will be getting its improvements in a software version that comes with these set of numbers, 1030.6407.1308.00xx. This specific update is said to include improved touch behavior as well as better system stability.

Enhanced camera picture quality is also said to arrive with this update, as in corrected camera exposure when flash is used in bright light condition, as explained in the blog post.

All new Lumia 920, 820 and 620 smartphones are said to receive the update right out of the box, meaning they will hit store shelves with this new firmware already installed.

Current owners of these handsets are set to receive their respective new firmware at a later date, which Nokia will soon announce.
