Nokia Lumia 730 Launch Set For Late August, For $240

A truly midrange handset is coming up next. The rightful successor to the popular Lumia 720 has been spotted around the world, suggesting that a launch is just around the corner.

There is word that Microsoft is ready to release this new smartphone towards the end of August, and this would make it the first device to ship with the Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 out of the box. Estimated price is said to be in the range of $240. US.

Information provided by the retailer above indicates that the Lumia730 comes with a unibody polycarbonate design — the battery, in this case, will not be removable.

One highlight of this smartphone is the 5 megapixel front facing camera, which is pretty much the reason why this was said to be a selfie phone. Apart from that, the device comes with a rather middling set of hardware.

A 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor is paired with an Adreno 305 graphics chip. RAM capacity comes in at an okay 1GB.

In terms of internal storage, users will have access 8GB of space, which can be further expanded by another 128GB. Display is a capacitive 4.7 inch touchscreen, supporting 720p resolution. The back camera offers a 6.7 megapixel resolution with a Carl Zeiss lens and full HD recording.

Nokia is adding in dual SIM capabilities, and throws in a 2000 mAh battery.
