It did not take Microsoft long to hop onto the selfie bandwagon. The recently released Nokia Lumia 735 comes with some amazing photography capabilities, as this new ad shows.
This commercial is currently airing in Italy — a country where Windows Phones has made a lot of headway in terms of sales and market share. What better place to promote this new smartphone as the best choice for users that take selfies on a regular basis, then?
Interestingly, this ad is titled “Selfie drama. Stop the violence!”
Microsoft is taking no prisoners this time around. The ad is funny piece that shows a bunch of people finding themselves disfigured in images due to the smaller angles and frames of regular front facing cameras available on most other mobile phones.
Take a look at the video here:
The commercial obviously points to the 5 megapixel front camera on the Lumia 735 as the right choice for users that want to take photos on the go, without compromises that is.
It also comes with face detection, among several other features.
Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core 1.2GHz processor and helped by 1GB or RAM, Microsoft’s newest also comes with a 6.7 megapixel back camera with autofocus, LED flash and Carl Zeiss optics. No wonder it is billed as the perfect smartphone for selfies and Skype chats.
What do you think of the ad, though?
A much better effort from Microsoft this time around? Comment away.
