The OneDrive app for Windows Phone has just been updated. And although the refresh does not come with a major new feature, it brings a minor set of enhancements that further refine the official client.
And the good news is that this new version is not just aimed at Windows Phone 8.1 users, but also for handsets that still rock Windows Phone 8 and even Windows Phone 7.5 — been a while since we have had some good news for the latter version of the operating system.
Anyway, version 4.2 brings the usual set of bug fixes and performance improvements.
But it also makes it easier to select contacts when choosing who to share files with, a handy new and much needed feature, surely.
Another such welcome addition is that users can now choose where to save files when they download them. A progress bar is also included, making it easier to keep up with the status when uploading and downloading content.
Interestingly, this probably will be the final update for Windows Phone 7 users, as Microsoft officially end support of this old platform on September 9.
