The Windows Phone 8 party has long been rumored to receive some new members. But while a number of smartphone makers are said to be testing new devices, Nokia, HTC, Samsung and Huawei are the main vendors that are leading the charge.

Interestingly, several second tier makers have expressed interest in the platform these past few months, and one of them is Chinese mobile phone maker Oppo.

Oppo is reportedly getting ready to launch a Windows Phone 8 device — it is in fact, a new flavor of its popular Find 5 smartphone, only powered by Microsoft’s mobile platform.

This is, of course, not the first time the company is rumored to be working on a Windows Phone smartphone. As notes the company expressed interest in the platform a little while back, but nevertheless, the operating system has gained some strong worldwide traction since these reports.

The company’s Social Marketing Director, Li Ying Ming has already posted a series of mockup photos that show the device running under Windows Phone 8. These images actually give a little more credence to this rumor.

But considering the fact that these are just concept photos for now, albeit some gorgeous looking ones, nothing is set in stone. We will have to wait for an official announcement on the matter to be sure.
