Sprint has just officially confirmed the upcoming availability of the Samsung ATIV S Neo on its network on this Friday, August 16. This makes it the carrier’s second Windows Phone 8 device after it started selling the HTC 8XT in July.

And just like the 8XT, the ATIV S Neo will be a Sprint exclusive.

Microsoft shared the news on the official Windows Phone blog saying that the new smartphone will be priced at $150 with a new two year contract and a mail-in rebate of $50.

The handset features a 4.8 inch touchscreen display with a 1280 by 720 pixel resolution. It is powered by a 1.4GHz dual-core processor, 16GB of internal memory backed up with a microSD card slot for additional storage needs.

1GB of RAM, an 8 megapixel shooter on the back, front facing camera for video calling, 2000 mAh lithium-ion battery and 4G LTE connectivity round up the specifications.

Samsung has also listed the handset on its website, revealing the full specs.

Sprint says that this is the first Windows Phone 8 smartphone in its lineup to come with international roaming capabilities. The smartphone also packs a number of preloaded apps — including Beauty Shot mode, Manga Camera, and a built-in image editor to edit, colorize and decorate photos easily.
