Samsung is bring it’s ATIV SmartPC tablet to AT&T.

It’s being priced at $799 which is an interesting price point. It’s $300 more than a Microsoft Surface but the Samsung device is a full blown Windows 8 device and will therefore support legacy desktop apps.

As you know, the Microsoft Surface is a Windows RT device which is not backwardly compatible with older desktop applications.

Samsung’s device will be one of the guinea pigs this fall that will show us exactly how much consumers are willing to pay for Windows 8 devices this fall.

The tablet runs on an 1.5 GHz dual-core Intel processor, an 11.6-inch display, and 64GB of internal storage.

Would you pay $800 for the ATIV?
