Bloomberg is reporting that Samsung will join Asus, Dell and Microsoft in producing Windows RT tablets.

Their quote:

Samsung has made a handheld computer built on Windows RT, the first version of Windows that works on ARM Holdings Plc (ARM) technology, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the plans haven’t been made public. Windows RT devices will be released in October, one person said.

While that’s hardly surprising giving their long history of partnership with Microsoft, it is curious to me that (relatively speaking) Samsung seem to have had a less prominent role in Windows 8 hardware announcements recently.

I would have expected Samsung to have more full throated announcements and endorsements of Windows 8.

Maybe they’re too busy worrying about Apple…

I’m sure Samsung is not worried at all about that rotten fruit company.  Samsung makes a far superior product than they do and when your the #1 smartphone producer in the world somebody as insignificant as spoiled fruit and the fruitloops that run it you have far more importnat things to worry about than those snobs in Cupertino.
