Surface tablets are on a bit of a world tour. After initially being available only across North America, Redmond is now aggressively expanding the retail availability of the tablets around the globe.
The technology titan recently announced that it would begin selling its Surface tablets in South Korea on June 11 — while preorders for the tablets have officially started today, May 22.
Details on pricing and accessories that will be up for grab in the local markets have not yet been provided, but it appears that both the Surface RT and Surface Pro would go on sale at the same time.
In fact, product demos in temporary stores at the Gangnam (yup, that Gangnam) and Yongsan stations are already being installed today.
As far as Switzerland is concerned, Swiss stores will begin selling the Pro version of the tablet on May 30. The technology titan has actually signed deals with three different retailers in the country, namely Fust, Interdiscount and Media Markt.
Those that wish to buy the device online can do so via Microsoft’s official store.
Pricing details for Switzerland been revealed, with the entry level 64GB model to be priced at CHF 959 (around $990), and the 128GB model is set to be available at a price tag of CHF 1,059 (which translates to $1,095). Touch and Type Covers can be purchased separately.
